Employees embrace spring opportunity to assist Freedom House guests

Employees and leadership members at Badger Sheet Metal Works delivered hundreds of need list items collected through a workplace giving tree program to Freedom House, a non-profit that serves a diverse population of homeless families in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Freedom House equips families with the skills and resources needed to become self-sufficient. The organization offers emergency shelter, food, basic hygiene items and comprehensive programming to get back out on their own. It relies on fundraising efforts and donations from the community to meet operational expenses and provide a hand up for guests.

Badger Sheet Metal Works employees could pick stickers from a paper giving tree display and purchase the corresponding item. Gifts included food, baby items, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene and miscellaneous kitchen items.

“Our workforce continually demonstrates a level of generosity that illustrates the caring culture that exists at Badger Sheet Metal Works,” commented Greg Decaster, chief executive officer. “We decided on a spring delivery schedule to help bridge the donation gap that Freedom House experiences after the holiday season.”
