American Alloy Boosts Defense Manufacturing Capability by Achieving ITAR Registration

Strategic milestone highlights dedication to secure metal fabrication services

American Alloy, a leading comprehensive metal fabrication company, is announcing the achievement of registration with the U.S. State Department under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) as of July 23, 2025. This registration includes the company’s Green Bay and Spokane facilities, allowing pursuit of projects requiring defense-level security compliance, including aerospace, defense, and other sectors critical to U.S. national security.

“Our customers were clear—there’s growing demand for U.S.-based suppliers who can meet the strictest compliance requirements in the defense and aerospace sectors,” said Brett Stevens, Chief Executive Officer at American Alloy. “Pursuing ITAR registration was a strategic decision to align with those needs, strengthen our role in critical supply chains, and demonstrate our commitment to quality, security, and national interest. It unlocks access to a wider range of defense and aerospace programs that require infrastructure, discipline and security protocols to handle the most sensitive and complex projects. We believe this will lead to an increase in ITAR-specific projects and opportunities beyond them.”

American Alloy’s ITAR registration signifies the company’s commitment to strict security protocols for managing sensitive technical information and data. Attaining this registration involved extensive preparation, including:

  • Thorough training for all personnel
  • Rigorous controls over facility access and detailed visitor logs
  • Secure methods for handling blueprints, drawings and technical data
  • Protected information transfer systems to prevent unauthorized access to confidential data

“This registration provides customers with peace of mind knowing that American Alloy has the appropriate processes and controls in place to securely handle sensitive information,” continued Stevens. “It plainly demonstrates our drive to do our very best for a growing customer base.”

American Alloy is now able to pursue projects across multiple sectors requiring defense-level security compliance, like those for the U.S. military, State Department infrastructure projects, aerospace manufacturing for defense, and some automotive and energy projects important for national security.

In addition to the new ITAR registration, American Alloy also follows ISO quality standards, reinforcing its dedication to quality and regulatory adherence in the metal fabrication industry.
